The Battalion Company
The Battalion Companies made up the bulk of the British Army in the 18th century. This is where the common soldier was found. The Battalion Company could be easily distinguished by their Tricorn hat. The Battalion Company of the Guards Regiments modified their hats by cutting them down ad cocking them on the left side.
