The Light Infantry Company
The Light Infantry Company was made up of men who were the more faster and agile men of the regiment. They were the screening force for the army. You would see them operating ahead of the army in a loose formation known as "Open Order". They were the men who would make first contact with the enemy and hold their position until the rest of the army came to the front.
